Who are you?
Marion Hananui, stylist of the brand GOOD GUYS Don't Wear Leather.
How did you start in fashion?
I had a stylist education at Duperre school in Paris. I participated in the Hyères Festival, won a European contest sponsored by La Redoute that launched my carreer in shoe design, collaborating in the catalog pages for 3 seasons. I worked at ELLE magazine in the accessory section and then as a freelance stylist for Isabel Marant, Devastée, Christine Phung, Pablo, Ventilo, etc ...
How would you define your style?
Uncluttered, comfortable, colorful, unisex, casual.
What inspires you?
Places, atmospheres, movies, people but most of all my longings. I am always inspired by my trips. I bring the ideal pair of shoes always with me and I also try to think like men do.
A few words about this collection...
Minimalist with a new take on the classics.
What's your favorite piece in our selection?
The Beige Aponi with white sole. I find this design very chic, my favorite pair for summer.
What are you most proud of?
To create a brand in agreement with myself, long time vegetarian. I worked for a long time in the shoes factory for other brands and I wanted to create my own line of shoes, all made in Europe in a clean and ethic way, designing styles that I love and that please people, vegetarian or not. It's my reward.
